Miracle Meadows School is a self-supporting boarding school that works with at-risk youth, and is located out in the country near Salem, West Virginia. MMS uses a cognitive approach to help youth who have often been kicked out of other schools and who are dealing with the following problems:
- Lying
- Rages and anger
- Use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs
- Running away
- Defiance of authority
- Academic failure
- Truancy
- Physical assaults
- Sexual Promiscuity
- Stealing
- ADHD/ADD/RAD/ODD
- Eating disorders
- Depression and suicidal thoughts
At times, parents turn to Miracle Meadows when they see their child begin to head down the wrong path, while for others, MMS is their last chance for hope. MMS accepts both boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 17. Our mission is to "manage, mentor and motivate at-risk students in choosing God's way mentally, physically, socially and spiritually". The policies and practices of MMS reflect the Bible-based beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist church.
With only 40 - 46 students, Miracle Meadows School is able offer a highly supervised, highly structured, confronting, spiritual, and supportive environment. Since MMS was founded in 1988, it has been instrumental in helping hundreds of teens to turn their lives around, finish school, and give their lives to Christ.
