“To restore in man the image of his Maker, to bring him back to the perfection in which he was created, to promote the development of body, mind, and soul, that the divine purpose in his creation might be realized – this was to be the work of redemption. This is the object of education, the great object of life.”
~ Ellen White ~
EASEA’s mission is to facilitate the development, improvement and propagation of lay-operated Seventh–day Adventist schools as defined in the Bible and the writings of Ellen White.
Our vision is to create a worldwide association of lay-operated Seventh-day Adventist schools preparing young people to proclaim the three angels’ messages.
“EASEA promotes excellence in its member schools through a school improvement process that assesses input from parents, teachers, and students. Plans are then developed and implemented which address needs so the school can better respond to its constituents. I appreciate this approach to school management that effectively raises school standards.”Doug Baker | Principal, Heritage Academy
The E. A. Sutherland Education Association ensures excellence in its member schools through a continuous process of self-evaluation, reflection and improvement. Schools are challenged to implement innovative change and continual improvement while faithfully adhering to a distinct Seventh-day Adventist educational philosophy. To facilitate this process, EASEA offers school accreditation and teacher certification services that are in harmony with the mission and vision of its member schools.
Steve Dickman| President, Harbert Hills Academy“Harbert Hills has benefited immensely by utilizing EASEA’s continuing education classes, seminars and leadership training for faculty and administration. The networking and fellowship opportunities provided at EASEA leadership retreats are personally encouraging.”
The E. A. Sutherland Education Association empowers its member schools by delivering services that assist in improving their programs. Through leadership training, continuing education for teachers, networking opportunities, liaison services, personnel locating services, marketing services, and provision of additional counsel and guidance, EASEA provides the necessary tools needed to yield growth and educational success.
Jim Ingersoll| Southern Union, Associate Director“EASEA has been a valuable resource for self supporting schools by negotiating accreditation, providing oversight for schools and offering professional growth opportunities for teachers as part of the services available through their organization.”
